Warehouse 7 in Port of Thessaloniki, one of the most historic buildings in the city was converted into a gym. After devastation for decades is finally given to the public and restored to its original state. The main design priority was to maintain and promote the unique character of the building as well as to adapt to the routines of a modern gym. New additions can easily be read by the old as they have an ephemeral character. The main idea was to keep the space open and visible in its entirety. So that the visitor entering the space can immediately perceive the old warehouse and the modern athletic spirit. Metal laser cut inscriptions work as a hallmark of the different gymnasiums, but also as an intelligent separation of the services provided.
