Hatzifotiou, is a well known confectioner in Thessaloniki since 1946. His specialty is chocolate delices but the rest of his products are definitely worth tasting. It is a father-to-son business, carrying its growing expertise from decade to decade. However, an attempt is being made to keep the company's profile up to date, by improving the aesthetics and the function of its stores.
The Mediterranean Cosmos store has slightly different function from the rest due to the fact it is located in a mall.The increased bread-snack sales lead to the developement of two sections, patisserie and bakery. These two parts are composing the central unit of the store. Though the plan is split in two sections a good flow of both employees and costumers is established.The thematic bakery corner and the colourful cake cloches, are the small and big kids' favourite spots. Minimalistic forms combined with traditional material, such as the bronze showcases, the mosaic floor and the creamy white wooden furniture are mixed in an effort to bring together the company's long history with its new, fresh and delicious image.
